ENCW 224 - Literary Magazine Publishing

Prerequisites: CORE 120 and ENCW 101. This course will introduce students to the variety of skills - along with the intellectual and artistic
concerns - that are necessary in planning, assembling, editing, and publishing a literary magazine.
Students would read and discuss a variety of both print and online literary magazines while also
creating work for submission to such magazines. Both the skills developed and the creative work
assembled in the course will prepare students to serve as contributors to and editors of Sweet Briar’s
student literary magazine, Red Clay.
