PSYC 322 - Developmental Psychopathology

CR: 3
Prerequisite: PSYC 219 . Developmental psychopathology is built on the idea that some aspect of development itself has gone awry when an individual deviates significantly from the norm; be it psychologically, emotionally, socially, or behaviorally.  In this course, we will focus on four Neurodevelopmental/Neurocognitive disorders: ADHD, Autism, Alzheimer’s, and Addiction. Adopting a behavioral neuroscience approach, we’ll examine the physiological abnormalities and neural networks influencing these disorders, epigenetic change, and symptom expressions.
